Show attendance
Over many years we have provided enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced beekeepers (and bees!) to give beekeeping presentations and demonstrations to community groups, clubs and agricultural shows in and around North Staffordshire. I thought I’d better get cracking and ask who would like to volunteer for our three main shows this year. As we all know, they are fun, and we can do an hour or all day if you are up to it- with time off for seeing the rest of the stalls and events. To remind you ;-
Leek show Saturday 26th July
The previous evening- just a couple of people to set up a table, hang banners and put tablecloths and leaflets there ready for the morning. On the day – the first volunteers need to be there approx. 8.30 a.m. The day lasts till 5 p.m. ‘ish’.
Manifold show Saturday 9th August
The evening before – around 7 p.m.- we need folks to put up the tent and Tables. It works best with four of us. It really doesn’t take too long. On the day we need the first there at around 8 to 8.30 The day lasts till 4 or 5 ‘ish’ then of course we need to put the tent down and pack.
Rushton Spencer Bank holiday Monday
The evening before, the tent needs to be erected, again, four people are the easiest way to do it.
On the day, we need to be ready for a 10,a,m, start.
If anyone knows of any newcomers that could be given a nudge that would be nice. I will be ringing a few folks whose e-mail I don’t have.
Not too long to go folks so please let me know if you can do anything at all so we can arrange the jig-saw of people who have limited time.
